About the Teachers

Aimee and Bianca are creative artists based in the Port Macquarie-Hastings District. After coming together as new mums, they discovered their shared passions, and realised the area lacked a holiday program for the arts, thus C.A.M.P was established.

Aimee Pelley (Visual Arts)

Aimee studied at Armstrong Atlantic State University in the United States of America and completed her BS in Art Education in 2008. She has worked in primary schools, art workshops, and student art clubs. Aimee developed a creative arts program in her community back in Georgia, which had great success, so she wanted to create something similar here in Port Macquarie. Aimee also gives private drawing and painting lessons. She moved to Port Macquarie in 2013 and has been working at Wauchope Public School and St. Josephs Primary School. She now runs Paint The Town Australia.

Bianca Bateman (Drama)

Bianca Bateman has been acting on stage since the age of 12. Following completion of her Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Drama at the University of Queensland, she travelled the world and taught theatre for 2 months at a high end kids summer camp in New York State where she directed 3 shows and then 2 years later returned to the camp for a 2nd summer in the theatre.  Although she never had it in her mind to teach drama, only to be a drama queen herself, Bianca fell into programs run by the Department of Education including the Stage Right Drama Camp, The Multicultural Playwrights program and Primary Play Day which she has now brought from Sydney to the Hastings region.
